See a show at the Umass Fine Art Center or the Northampton Center for the performing Arts, Catch a live music performance at Pearl Street the Iron Horse, or even the Amherst Common.  Savor beautiful art in one of the many surrounding museums or just appreciate history in the Emily Dickinson House. Mt. Sugarloaf Park

Mt. Sugarloaf State Reservation is part of the Massachusetts Forest and Park Department, and encompasses 532 acres. It can be reached from the Springfield area within 30 minutes. Take Route 91 north to exit 24. Take a right off the exit onto Routes 5, 10, and 116, heading north. At the first set of lights (approximately 200 yards away), take a right onto Route 116, heading south. About a mile down, take a left at the light, onto Sugarloaf Street. Take an immediate right to enter the reservation. The summit is an easy 2-mile drive up. For information, phone 413-586-8706.
